Service Description
The Civilian Streetfighter: Course Summary and Key Learning Objectives Course Summary: The Civilian Street-Fighter is a progressive, hands-on course designed to equip civilians with the essential skills and mindset for effective self-defense and close quarters battle (CQB) in home and urban environments while keeping a defensive framework in mind. Through a structured crawl-walk-run methodology, students build on foundational weapon handling skills, advance to individual and team-based tactics, and culminate in realistic, high-stress scenarios. The course emphasizes safety, practical application for civilians, and decision-making under pressure, ensuring participants gain confidence and competence for real-world self defense and preservation of life situations. Key Learning Objectives: Crawl Phase • Learn of historical accounts and tactics associated with urban combat and CQB involving civilians • Discuss urban combat scenarios that are applicable to civilians, to establish training framework e.g. terrorist assaults, navigating hostile environments • Discuss tactics that do and do not transfer to civilians • Vehicle based gear considerations/load outs • Singleton CQB Tactics, Techniques and Procedures Walk Phase • Weapon retention, core CQB concepts such as room entry basics, footwork and door procedures • Execute individual movement techniques in an urban environment context • Proper use of cover and firing positions • Learn applications of primary, secondary and tertiary weapons • Learn team roles • Learn team-based tactics, focusing on four-man room clearing and effective communication • Participate in practical exercises/drills e.g. Contact at Breach Run Phase (worst case scenario) • Perform team room clearing to build confidence and clarify team roles • Closing sectors, points of dominance and dynamic entries • Engage in force-on-force exercises with role players to simulate real-world stress and decision-making under pressure to include hand-to-hand combat. • Evaluate and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) through after-action reviews and performance assessments. Course is time or objectives based.
