Service Description

KCV Training Community Volunteer Program – Serve, Learn, and Lead Kit Carson Ventures invites community members to step into a hands-on volunteer role that strengthens local readiness and resilience. As a KCV Role Player, you’ll participate in Emergency Management and disaster response training simulations, helping public safety teams, first responders, and community partners prepare for real-world crises. Volunteers gain unique experience in leadership, communication, and teamwork, while earning Bright Futures volunteer credit and free participation in select KCV training courses, classes and community preparedness exercises. You’ll learn practical skills—from emergency coordination and situational awareness to first aid, self defense and crisis management—and make a direct impact on your community’s ability to respond and recover. Volunteering with KCV means joining a network of neighbors, veterans, and professionals united by service, camaraderie, and a shared mission to keep Central Florida resilient. Ready to take part?
