Fundamentals of Mastery, Rifle & Pistol

Service Description

Did you know that elite military units include the mastery of fundamentals in their training? Yes, it's true, as it is part of the "O-Cycle," or what is known as the Operate Cycle of training. Go beyond simply putting rounds on paper, or banging steel, to operating your weapons more deliberately, by understanding and maximizing their capabilities. This course is your opportunity to challenge assumptions, validate your capability and take ownership of the fundamentals of mastery. Instruction includes: • Advisement on Human Factors Engineering (optimizing your weapon(s) set-up) • Fundamentals of marksmanship, rifle/carbine (primary weapon), using objective standards • Obtaining and/or verifying a proper zero (irons and optics, rifle/carbine), using objective standards • Establish a Battle Zero (BZO) for your rifle • Establish holdovers for Max Effective Range (for your weapon system, rifle/carbine) • Validate essential marksmanship skills • Weapons function check, maintenance cleaning and inspection • Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship (secondary weapon) • Validate your newly learned skills with objective standards and qualification and more... Instruction is delivered through oral and practical theory and hands-on application for learning that is reinforced by take home exercises to improve your proficiency. This one (1) day course begins at 9am and ends 'approximately' at 5pm (course is time and/or objective based) Requirements: • Complete the Kit Carson Ventures (KCV) Baseline Skills Assessment • Be at least 18 years old and a legal US Citizen/Resident. (Due to the Department of State ITAR regulations, tactical training is only available to US Citizens/Legal Residents. By registering for this class, the student attests that they are at least 18 years of age and a legal US Citizen/resident) • Be legally permitted to own a firearm in the state of Florida (By registering for this course, the student further attests that they are legally permitted to own a firearm in the state of Florida) • Complete a KCV liability waiver before the start of the class Email admin@kitcarsonventures.com for questions, packing list and further details.
