Fundamentals of Mastery, Rifle Course

Service Description

Did you know that elite military units such as Delta force practice fundamentals? Yes, it's true as it is part of the "O-Cycle," or Operate Cycle of training and the mastery of fundamentals. Go beyond simply putting rounds on paper, or banging steel, to operating your rifle more deliberately by understanding and maximizing its capability. Fill knowledge gaps and ensure that you have developed a solid fundamental foundation for continuous development to advance your marksmanship skills. Instruction on: • Obtaining and/or verifying a proper zero (irons and optics) • Establish a Battle Zero (BZO) • Engage targets out to 300+ meters • Establish holdovers for Max Effective Range (550 meters) • Validate essential marksmanship skills • Weapon function, maintenance cleaning and inspection Instruction is delivered through oral and practical theory and hands-on application for learning that is reinforced by take home exercises to improve your proficiency. Instruction is focused primarily on AR style platforms chambered in 5.56 and/or .223. This one (1) day course begins at 9am and ends 'approximately' at 5pm, with a lunch break (course is time and/or objective based) Prerequisites: • Complete the Kit Carson Ventures (KCV) Baseline Skills Assessment (included w/ registration of this course, see course section and/or email for details and scheduling) • Be at least 18 years old and a legal US Citizen/Resident. (Due to the Department of State ITAR regulations, tactical training is only available to US Citizens/Legal Residents. By registering for this class, the student attests that they are at least 18 years of age and a legal US Citizen/resident) • Be legally permitted to own a firearm in the state of Florida (By registering for this course, the student further attests that they are legally permitted to own a firearm in the state of Florida) • Complete a KCV liability waiver before the start of the class Email admin@kitcarsonventures.com for questions, packing list and further details.
